A small painting on board by the East London Group artist Walter Steggles (1908 - 1997). This has been mounted in a hand finished box frame with AR/UV glass.
The moulding is a bespoke 13 x 32mm flat poplar wood. The frame was hand painted in White Tie by Farrow & Ball. The board was fitted with a small sub-frame to stabilise the work and to feather float it on the painted backing. The frame was fitted with custom made 16mm hand painted matching spacers. The painting is 200 x 355mm in size.
This frame measures 285 x 445mm overall.
