Playbill Programme
This Playbill theatre magazine, a souvenir from New York, has been float mounted in a box frame. The frame is hand finished and painted in colours from the Farrow & Ball range. We used Pavilion Gray for the frame itself and the plywood backing panel was painted in Ammonite. The booklet was mounted on a conservation grade board and attached to the backing with acid-free adhesive.
The magazine is held closed with an almost transparent acid free tape. The frame is glazed with conservation glass with a 99% UV filter to help protect the paper from light damage.
We made a feature of the spacers - they have been painted with a custom mixed yellow to match the banner of the booklet. The overall size of this frame is 325 x 250 mm.
