This painting on canvas has been housed in a hand finished custom made tray frame. The frame is in a deep poplar wood profile, which was shaped in the studio. It was then joined, sanded smooth and hand painted in Cornforth White by Farrow & Ball.
The canvas was mounted within the frame with a 10mm gap between the painting and frame. It is secured on 3mm window cut MDF to allow access to the stretcher pegs. This painting has a deep stretcher - the custom frame profile is 10 x 45mm and its overall size is 850 x 850mm.
