This little painting by Tommy Hamilton is in a solid maple wood tray frame.
The panel was battened on the reverse so that it 'floats' within the frame. The painting was then mounted onto a 3mm MDF backing board painted with Salon Drab by Farrow & Ball. The maple profile is 15 x 32mm, and the joined frame was hand finished - sanded, sealed, waxed and polished. The frame was also fitted with custom spacers painted to match the backing board.
The size of this frame is 280 x 385mm.
