A photograph by Peter Beard, taken in 1972, of the painter Francis Bacon at his then home in Narrow Street, London. The platinum print has handwritten text by Beard, quoting Conrad's Heart of Darkness in black ink, along with marks in red ink and a found object.
This unique work has been presented float mounted on museum grade board in a 20 x 33mm solid walnut frame which has been lined with an acid free aluminium barrier tape. The frame is fitted with 18mm acid free spacers and is glazed with AR/UV 99 glass.
This is an example of a full museum frame for maximum protection of the artwork. This frame measures 760 x 950mm overall.
