This set of photographs was purchased from the former Bedell Coram antique shop on Commercial Street, Spitalfields. These four photographs, taken in the 1950's, were joined to show a West London street view and display obvious signs of wear and tear. With our client it was decided that this adds to their charm and so, rather than covering this feature, the photographs are displayed as found floated in a box frame.
The client decided on a frame constructed from 15 x 32mm American white oak, which was then hand finished - sanded, sealed and waxed. The conservation board chosen for the float mount was also used to make the 15mm spacers in order to create a uniform interior for the frame.
The overall size of this frame is 380 x 640mm.
