Michael Thomas : Ebb-Tide
These box frames were made for photographer Michael Thomas for the exhibition Ebb-Tide which was held at Four Corners, Bethnal Green, in June 2024.
The frames were constructed in 13 x 37 mm poplar wood, hand finished and painted in Wimbourne White by Farrow & Ball. The photographic prints have been float mounted on Snow White conservation board and the frames were also fitted with matching hand cut 15 mm spacers.
These frames have integral custom made split battens fitted to the acid-free backing. This was done to help facilitate an easy and accurate installation as the frames were displayed in a grid formation. The battens also ensure that the frames also sit completely flush to the walls.
