Screenprints by Maggi Hambling
Three screen prints by Maggi Hambling, all presented in poplar wood box frames.
The Derek Jarman has been floated on a dark grey conservation board with matching 10mm deep hand cut spacers. The moulding is hand painted in Farrow & Ball's Downpipe. The moulding profile measures 35 x 25mm and the overall size of the frame is 865 x 640 mm. A print from this edition can be seen in Prospect Cottage, Jarman's former residence in Kent.
The George Melly Singing and Stephen Fry Musing prints have a white translucent finish. The profile used for these is 20 x 35mm. These frames are hand finished with a white stain and lime wax, both prints are float mounted on an off-white conservation board with 15mm deep hand cut matching spacers. Both frames measure 715 x 595mm overall.
