One of a set of ten frames for Grace Lau's 1997 exhibition Adults in Wonderland.
Each frame was designed to echo elements of the composition and content of the particular photograph it housed. In the example shown here the frame was customised by having rubber cord laced through eyelets at the corners. The window mount has also been covered with a leatherette textured paper.
The 60 x 20mm moulding is obeche, it has been stained black and was then sealed, waxed and polished by hand to a high sheen. This frame is 400 x 390mm in size.
