This still life measuring 260 x 200mm was bought in for reframing. The moulding chosen to replace the original heavy black frame is in Ash, 30 x 20mm in size with a fluted groove. The frame was hand painted in Stony Ground by Farrow & Ball. The Obeche inner frame, which serves to keep the glass away from the surface of the painting was retained, but repainted in Strong White.
The finished frame is 330 x 280mm overall.
