A beautiful print by the great Belgian symbolist painter, this was bought in for re-mounting and glazing.
The original oak frame was retained, however the original stain was scraped off and the wood sanded leaving the natural colour of the timber which proved a better match for the tone of the paper.
The previous window mount was changed for this buff coloured museum grade board - chosen again in order to obtain a sympathetic match to the print. The original glass was then swapped for conservation grade and the MDF backing board replaced with an acid-free version.
The overall size is 495 x 365 mm.
