A characteristic pastel by David Blackburn (1939 - 2016). This one of four pastel drawings we framed for our client. The drawing has been floated inside an Off-White conservation grade window mount. The frame is a flat profile in poplar wood measuring 13 x 19mm, it has been hand finished and painted using School House White from Farrow & Ball.
The frame is glazed with AR/99 WW, which has a UV filter of 99%, plus an anti-reflective coating. The glass is known as Water White, hence the WW in the name. This specialist glass has a low iron content, resulting in exceptional clarity - the glass appears almost invisible.
The overall size of this frame is 560 x 510mm.
